Pop superstar Taylor Swift Reveals Diss Track is 'Love Letter to Someone Who Hates Me'

Following the debut of Taylor Swift's latest record on Friday, devotees have been eagerly analyzing song content to identify the person she's addressing in one particular track.

This musical piece, Actually Romantic, centers around an unnamed fellow popstar - and online platforms have been buzzing with guesses that it targets the British pop star.

In a film presentation accompanying the latest release, Swift shared that the composition is "a love letter to someone who hates you."

The pop star, thirty-five, didn't identify the person referenced, but she sarcastically thanked them for focusing on her, stating: "I find it pleasing."

Record Details

Actually Romantic is the seventh track on Swift's eagerly expected fresh record, titled The Life of A Showgirl.

It references another vocalist, who calls Swift as a "boring Barbie" and creates music about how much they hate her.

Followers on online networks are convinced this is a reply to Charli XCX's song, named Sympathy is a Knife, from her record Brat, which the artist in her early thirties supposedly created about Swift.

In her composition, Charli explores having uncertainty about an individual who appears backstage at her boyfriend's gig.

"Unsure if it's reality or paranoia. One voice tells me that they laugh, George says, "I'm just paranoid"," she performs.

She states: "Fingers crossed behind my back. I hope they break up real quick."

Her former boyfriend, now husband, the drummer George Daniel, is the percussionist in the band The 1975. Swift briefly dated the act's vocalist artist Matty Healy.

In Swift's latest song, Swift vocals that the situation is "surprisingly romantic" how much energy another popstar devotes to her.

During a Swift-themed event in a London neighborhood, on Friday night, attendees shared they'd spent the day over-analysing all details.

"She consistently keeps secrets, but I feel that song is definitely about Charli XCX," said avid supporter and DJ Dave Fawbert, who organizes the social event centered exclusively around the artist's songs.
